Its next release Dima Falestini steps into that new space with a collab between Italian-Moroccan rappers Baby Gang and Neima Ezza. A track for Palestine. Both artists have built their careers within Italy’s rap scene while keeping close ties to Morocco, making the collaboration a natural extension of Mocro Stars’ cross-border format.
The reference is deliberate. “Dammi Falastini” – Arabic for “my blood is Palestinian.”The release also carries a direct charitable component. Royalties from “Dima Falestini” will be donated to The Zaynab Project, a women-led grassroots nonprofit supporting families and children in Gaza. Its work includes emergency food and water distribution alongside longer-term support for orphaned children.
“Dima Falestini” also gives a clearer indication of how Mocro Stars intends to operate. Morocco remains its anchor, but its scope follows the places where other artists and communities have established themselves. France, Spain, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands are the seven other countries represented across the wider project, connecting scenes that already share artists, audiences and cultural reference points.
Baby Gang and Neima Ezza are an early example of that structure in practice. They are two artists with Moroccan roots, established within Italy’s rap ecosystem, meeting under Mocro Stars on a track whose focus moves beyond either country.
Mocro Stars is assembling the routes it already travels into one project. “Dima Falestini” is the latest piece of that picture.
“The song "Dima Palestini" brings together two realities: "Dima" for Dima Maghreb, but "Palestini" because Dima Palestina. We are always on the side of Palestine, on the side of truth,” says Neima Ezza.
